TransEnd is Bangladesh’s first ever youth-led organization which works to bridge the gap between the transgender community (locally called hijra) and mainstream community through Education, Training, Healthcare, Employment & Entrepreneurship.
Through TransEnd’s non-profit platform, various online and offline sensitization programs, skill-development workshops, and awareness-building campaigns have been conducted through which 345000+ general people have been sensitized, 135+ marginalized hijra people got skilled in different subjects e.g English language, Handicrafts, Communication, Basic Computer Skills etc and 93 trans people quit their job as sex-working and joined in mainstream jobs scoped by TransEnd.
During the pandemic Covid-19, TransEnd has initiated a fund-raising campaign through which we provided more than 1500 unprivileged, jobless hijra people with food, blankets, and hygiene items to tackle the pandemic and survive winter.
TransEnd’s sister concern TransVentures Limited builds, accelerates, and invests in trans-led social businesses that are reducing poverty and empowering the transgender community by including 90% trans employees. For the first batch of TransVentures, 3 enterprises graduated successfully named Katha Boutique House (run by a transwoman having 95% trans employees), TRANSPort (a courier service having 98% trans delivery people), Mayaaji (promotes trans models and artists).
